lace up booties

My friend Lauren is always up for being a model! Which is awesome for me because I get to practice my photography skills and posing (although she poses herself more so than me coaching her!) She will be walking down the runway soon, I'm sure.

Thanks Lauren for letting me take your photos - in the cold weather and all!

Knaughty Knits

Clever title, right? Ms. Lauren Tarr gets full credit, as well as credit for these awesome pictures. She literally has the cutest little sayings (titles I guess) for all things. She should apply to name nail polishes and lipsticks and Crayons!

Any who, outfit post again on this wonderful hump day. Glad Wednesday is over. Two days left until I can claim the weekend! This outfit was (somewhat) inspired from Rayna's (Connie Britton) outfits from Nashville. I LUV that show. (New episode on tonight! Yay!). Her hair is always gorgeous, and she wears the cutest outfits, not to mention the hat she borrowed from Liam (Michiel Huisman) in one of the more recent episodes. He is so hot!

Now, I know that I am a terrible repeat offender on my Steve Madden Boots but they match with everything, are extremely comfortable, and make me feel awesome. So you'll have to put up with me (and my boots) until Florida's warm weather really begins (or I happen to get new boots, I have my eye on quite a few!).

Happy Wednesday everyone! Looking forward to the weekend! Be safe and remember that imitation is the best form of flattery. Carve your own path and be who you want to be, not who someone else wants you to be.

XOXO

tis the weekend

I started running outside again because of the perfect weather (at least on Thursday). I wore the socks my brother got me for my birthday! They are Nike Elite Socks. I felt pretty cool running in them.

It was warm enough to tan! Yay. I had the pool all to myself.

On Friday the weather was extremely nasty. I chose to wear my Steve Madden Boots (again). They are my favorite. Also, they are perfect for any weather.

It was so gray and depressing :(

Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend! One without the gloomy weather plaguing Tallahassee. XOXO

brown & black

I haven't posted one of my outfits in a SUPAH long time, I know. But, it's probably because I have no taste in clothing and I don't particularly care about my appearance when I go to class for hours.

Anywho, onto the posting I guess. BTW - I am all about Peace signs these days. I think it has to do with SUMMAH being right around the corner (thank goodness). I want some shorts weather and tan skin. Love my melatonin.

Thanks to Lauren for these lovely photos. Look at some of the ones I took of her on her blog. lifeoflst.blogspot.com

Favorite photo of the day. Love that face!

of late

I was lucky enough to receive beautiful roses for Valentine's Day.

Aren't they gorgeous? And this is at my boy's house. I think he has enough pictures of me. What do you think? lol

On Friday, I was playing around with my new lens and admiring their beauty at the same time.

Spur of the moment trip, went home to see my family. The last photo I have with Austin while he is 12 :) Tomorrow is his 13th birthday. Entering the teen years!

I obviously get my looks from my mother :)

We are so cute. It is always nice to spend time with the family.

On Sunday, we hit up the Waldo Flea Market. It was FREEZING but worth it. (And I get my looks from my dad too. His name also starts with a "J" so we are called the J's and my brother and mother are called the A's. It's a family thing.)

I'm borrowing my dad's jacket, his shirt is from PacSun and my brother is borrowing my letterman from high school. Oh the good old days.

ALSO, I have fantastic news!!!!!!

I won the giveaway from Amber Fillerup Clark's blog barefootblonde.com :) I am so ecstatic!!!! Plus she wished me a happy birthday. WIN WIN situation for me :) You have no idea. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE her blog. She kind of inspires some of my posts. However, we have completely different blogs. It is fun to see her daily life too though. If you guys don't already follow her you should.

As of Monday, my flowers are still going strong :) they can brighten up my day instantly in this terribly gloomy weather!

thank you

"Never, ever underestimate the power of a simple thank you note, especially in today's world where we rely solely on email." -Professor Diez

Thank you notes are easy, you are simply thanking the person for taking their time to do something for you. EASY. Plus, who doesn't love picking out cute cards from Target. I sent these thank you notes today, so my family members better be watching their mailboxes :)

I love doing things for people who have taken the time do something for me. Remembering to thank the important people in your life can only benefit you in the long run. Props to those who incorporate this into their business lives. People remember the little things. If a thank you notes helps with an advancement in the company, who wouldn't take the time to write a thank you note?

The hardest part for me is my handwriting. I don't have gorgeous handwriting and I know it. Tip of the day: incorporate a couple of thank you notes per hour into your day instead of planning a block of time to do finish them. Your hand will thank you, and your handwriting will look the absolute best.

Speaking of thank you's, I want to thank all of my readers! If any of my readers are interested in a portrait session, please contact me. I am building my portfolio and I would love to take photos of YOU.

let's KETCHUP

Last weekend I was lucky enough to volunteer on a FSU Film Set again. This production is titled Axiom directed by Kyle Adams. We were at the coolest location - An Abandoned Asphalt Factory. As you can see below, the place was awesome and I had an absolute blast. I was asked to take photos of the outfits for the production designer (PD) so I have way cooler shots of the actors this time than anything else really.

I am hoping to go back and do a photo shoot here sometime. Let me know if anybody is interested in this location.

valentines day

Happy Valentines Day everybody!

I made Red Velvet Heart Cupcakes! I hope everyone has something special planned tonight. Even if it is only ordering in Chinese Food. Wish your friends, family members, and lovers Happy Valentines Day. It is the one day of the year where flowering each other with sweets is encouraged. As for me, I plan on hitting the gym bright and early tomorrow morning after these cupcakes.

Thanks Lauren for taking the photos of me!

Recipe: I just used Red Velvet Cake mix out of the box with cream cheese icing. Simple yet cute.

bittersweet

So it is my last day of being 19....I turn 20 tomorrow.....weird feeling. I'll no longer be a teen. So I had my friend Lauren take a picture to commemorate this day (haha).

Hope everyone has a fantastic day tomorrow.

Fun fact: Abraham Lincoln's birthday is also tomorrow.
