Ringin' in the New Year

So this holiday season has been awesome! Filled with family, friends and LOTS of food. So I started working out regularly again. I used to visit www.bodyrock.tv for daily workouts, but they recently started a new website: www.dailyhiit.com. Not a big fan of their new site yet (or workouts) so I made my own.

3 rounds of 50 seconds workout with a ten second rest

• burpee + tuck jump + press up
• squats + press up 
• switch lunges
• mountain climbers

Following my workout I created my own protein shake (using my dad's handy dandy recipe - thanks Dad!)

Protein Shake Ingredients:

• almond milk
• handful of spinach
• drizzle of honey
• mixed fruit - the frozen bags from Publix
• scoop of peanut butter
• scoop of yogurt
• whole banana
• 5-7 ice cubes
• and water (only if needed)

I basically just throw whatever amounts I feel like in, but the more milk and yogurt you add the more there is. For a single serving, you don't need much of either.

I was so excited to take pictures of this beautiful lady, Ivi Crawford. She and I graduated school together and have been great friends since Elementary school. It was nice catching up with her plus getting these amazing shots. She should really go on America's Next Top Model - what do ya think? Oh and I loved her outfit, especially those boots :)

You may have noticed that a lot of the photos I take are non-smiling, but I wanted to let you know that we always have fun on shoots! Ivi has a great laugh!

It feels a lot like Christmas

This holiday was beautiful. Not only the presents given and received but the company we surround ourselves with. You can't pick family and family is forever. Building strong, lasting relationships is important and that is what the holiday season is all about. My family is important and I was glad to spend it with the people in these photos. Love them to death. Hope everyone else had a fantastic Christmas!

Holiday Treats

My cousins and I made sugar cookies to enjoy on Christmas Eve. We also made our own icing. The best part was decorating the cookies!

Our finished products. Chelsea made the most life-like Christmas tree imaginable but someone ate it before I snapped a picture. Maybe next year! Merry Christmas Eve everyone!

Outfit Post

Wanted to share my throw together outfit. My mom even complimented me as she took these pictures. What I love the most about this outfit is that my hair still looks wonderful after curling it yesterday and sleeping on it!

Ring is from JCPennys, Bracelet is from Stein Mart - they do not have it listed online. Both items were on sale and early Christmas presents to myself. Love them!

The silver ring, on the other hand, I found at the Waldo Flea Market for $1! It is so perfect and already has the worn in look. The purse is Liz Claiborne found in my mom's closet as well as the snowman scarf. Tis the season. My nail polish is from Nicole by OPI called Razzle Dazzle.

Shirt is from Levi's found in my mom's closet. Boots and leggings are from Target. My leg warmers are hand knitted by my Aunt Sharyl. I cannot remember where I got my sunglasses - I always receive so many compliments on them though.
