back to reality

So this lovely Memorial Day Weekend had to come to an end at some point. As John went off to work (doesn't he look handsome), I travelled back to Gainesville so I could go to work.

These pictures look a tad bright and kinda weird looking, right? Well it was extremely humid this morning and I have a filter on the lens I was using, so I'm pretty sure some moisture was caught in-between the lens and filter causing the weird effect. Honestly, I think it is kinda cool....something you could duplicate with the vaseline trick, but I don't want to have to clean that up!

Hope everyone had as great as a Memorial Day as I did!

XOXO

Delray Beach

He was my chauffeur for the weekend :)

Outfit details: Sunnies: Dragon Alliance / Dress: TJMAXX / Fedora: borrowed from a friend / Swimsuit: Old Navy (last season)

We went to Delray Beach today! It was absolutely gorgeous weather. I am desperately trying to even out my running tan. It is terrible. I did not get burnt at all today so that is excellent - however, I look no closer to evening out my tan either.

I am super excited that Memorial Day is tomorrow!!! Three day weekends are beautiful.

XOXO

John & Julia take Miami

I am visiting John this lovely holiday weekend. He is working in Boca for the summer. Today, we ate lunch at The Cheesecake Factory and it was soooo DELISH. Gainesville/Tallahassee needs one of those pronto.

We went to Miami for the evening. Took us about an hour to drive and find parking. We visited Lincoln Road. There were tons of shops and cute restaurants, it was really fun!

There were seriously three Starbucks Coffee shops all within a mile of one another. (Sounds ridiculous, but I bet from a business standpoint it keeps customers happy with low wait times.)

Literally thought this lady was a statue. Until I walked by and she moved. Speaking of statues, everyone should watch The Giant Mechanical Man for a cute romantic movie.

Visited my favorite brand ever! And walked out with nothing in hand (self control you might say. I say a tad overpriced.)

A three-story F21. Crazy. Crazy. Crazy.

My new favorite motto! I went in every sunglass shop looking for cute sunglasses, however I found none in my price range. I am thinking of a brown pair, with darker lenses. My blue ones stand out so much!

Ate delish sushi at Sushi Samba.

I snacked on yummy gelato :) from 4D

Tomorrow we are headed to Delray Beach. Super duper excited! I'll post more photos tomorrow.

Our Town

Austin's Drama Class at PK Yonge performed the play Our Town this morning. Austin did excellent of course, as well as the rest of the class. The kids did a great job, and it was quite funny. Glad I got to see my bro perform!

Sorry I haven't been as good with posting pictures lately, life has just been extremely busy. In the next couple of weeks I know I will have more to share :)

Austin & Lacrosse

PKY boys lacrosse played one of the many Kanapaha teams yesterday. Unfortunately they did not win this game, but they played their hardest. Love taking photos on my 75-300mm lens. I get to sit in my chair, and never have to move to get the best shot. Highly recommend buying one of these for taking photos of any sport. Unless you can afford the white lenses - then you are just in a whole different ball park (pretty sure that's one of those overused cliche sayings.)

A couple of the photos above are of Blake, a fellow teammate. I was hoping to get a team photo from yesterday, but it was hot after their game and you know how boys and photos are....oh well.

Hope everyone had/is having a fabulous weekend! Friendly reminder: tomorrow is Monday :(
