Florida State v Florida

John and I went to the game on Saturday! He is a Gator fan, and I, a Seminole. It was interesting, but there were a vast majority of other couples that were divided as well! It was a really good game and a bittersweet end to hate week. Sitting on the Alumni side, there were no inappropriate comments or hateful fans, which makes the football game that much more enjoyable.

happy halloween

Hope everyone has fantastic plans for Halloween - I sure don't, but the day is still young. 

Halloween means that Thanksgiving, my favorite holiday, is less than a month away! My whole family always gets together and we laugh and talk and get to catch up. By far the best holiday of the year; no one gets anything, but everyone gives.

the girl behind the grave

I am so excited about these next couple of posts! I've had this concept shoot in my head for a couple months now and was so excited for it to pan out! There is an epic graveyard right in the center of Tallahassee, it has tons of history and was so cool to shoot. Plus the gorgeous weather and lighting - it was a dream. A couple weeks ago, Lauren and I took a quick road trip to Georgia - it probably took us like 30 minutes tops. Anyhow, we ended up on a back road in the middle of nowhere but the cutest little house with this sign captured Lauren's heart. Good thing I was there to take a picture!

Tutorial Tuesday part 3

Hi! So glad you could stop by today. I made another tutorial in Photoshop about using the Pen Tool. This tool is extremely handy but takes a little practice to get the hang of it. As you can see, I changed the color of the image and I did this all by using the Pen Tool to select different parts of my image. LT took our photo the other day. As many photos as I take - I never have enough of me in them. Like the saying goes, "if you don't take a picture, it isn't real." Vowing to change that this (school) year!

FSU v Nevada

Saturday was the first home game of the season. FSU killed Nevada 62 - 7! Lauren, Samantha and I had a blast! Go Noles!

fishy friday!

So my roomie bought a fish - yet she found that she could not take care of it. So I saved little Nolan from being flushed unceremoniously down the toilet. He now resides in our living room. I feed him twice a day, have washed his tank three times, and proceeded to buy him a princess castle (it was either that or some weird looking turtle head thingamajig - apparently fish aren't as popular as they used to be).

Anyhow, I am quite attached to little Nolan, hope this news makes your Friday a brighter day!

Tutorial Tuesday

As many of you know, I have an internship at The Pod Advertising. At this internship I am learning even more about photography and photoshop. So, I am thinking about doing a tutorial every week on something I've learned in Photoshop. This week will be Selective Coloring. This is such a handy tool!

Mah boi JA

OHMYGOODNESS! Lauren and I went to the Jason Aldean concert last night! He is sooooo awesome. Like, when most musicians give concerts they change the way they sing it because it's live, etc. BUT, JA can literally sing word for word his songs exactly how they play on the radio which speaks for his amazingness at singing. Am I right.

Anywho, Lauren's boi JO - Jake Owen - opened for JA. He was pretty stellar too. Although, JA stole the night away. As he should have. So glad I was able to sneak my high powered camera into the concert (shhhhh. don't tell anyone!)

Hoping to have a mash up video of JA's songs on Monday. Big plans for next week! Stay tuned. And if you honestly have no idea who these guys are, listen below.
