hashtag update

Sorry I was off my regular posting schedule last week. This week I believe things should be back to normal - cross your fingers. The first wave of exams just hit and I finally started my job. More on that later this week. Last Friday I had my first assignment at The Pod Advertising. I went to take pictures of an appreciation day that a company we work for sponsored. So that was half of Friday - the other half was building huge letters and stapling money to them (more on that later this week). Anyhow, right in the middle of editing the photos from Friday!

Tutorial Tuesday part 3

Hi! So glad you could stop by today. I made another tutorial in Photoshop about using the Pen Tool. This tool is extremely handy but takes a little practice to get the hang of it. As you can see, I changed the color of the image and I did this all by using the Pen Tool to select different parts of my image. If you have any questions, need clarification, or any suggestions for tutorials please comment below. Thanks for following along! Also, please share by pinning my image!

Disclaimer: Using the Pen Tool is just one of many different ways to edit this photo and any other photo for that matter. I am not saying this is the best way, just one way.

The Pod

As many of you know, I have an internship at The Pod Advertising. This is a local advertising company in Tallahassee. I am an intern under the head photographer. So my job is to take photos and edit them in photoshop. I took these photos (except the last two, obvs) and edited them all by myself in photoshop! Pretty exciting stuff, if I do say so myself. diverse world fashion magazine

About a week or so ago I went to a model casting for Diverse World Fashion Magazine. This magazine is a student run publication at FSU. Tonight they had a launch party for their new website www.diverseworldfashion.com and Lauren was there with her Chloe + Isabel Jewelry. Samantha and I went to support Lauren, plus I wanted to show my face again. I did more socializing then taking pictures but wanted to share what I had! Hopefully, some really cool collaborations will come out of it! I'll let you know more soon :)

Tutorial Tuesday part Two

I am so sorry for the (extremely) late post today! Things just weren't technologically working for me these past couple of days. However, I still managed to get it done. That is the important part!

This tutorial is a basic tutorial in the sense that I show you the basics of how I edit portrait photos. Again, these are just the basics! This tutorial covers the healing brush tool, the stamp tool, brightening eyes, and a basic vignette. Check out last weeks Tutorial Tuesday. The photo I edited is of my roommate Samantha, tomorrow you will see more of the lovely photos I took for her!

FSU v Nevada

Saturday was the first home game of the season. FSU killed Nevada 62 - 7! Lauren, Samantha and I had a blast! Go Noles!

fishy friday!

So my roomie bought a fish - yet she found that she could not take care of it. So I saved little Nolan from being flushed unceremoniously down the toilet. He now resides in our living room. I feed him twice a day, have washed his tank three times, and proceeded to buy him a princess castle (it was either that or some weird looking turtle head thingamajig - apparently fish aren't as popular as they used to be).

Anyhow, I am quite attached to little Nolan, hope this news makes your Friday a brighter day!
