Big things on this Monday morning. Hope this makes your day just a lit bit brighter! I absolutely love taking photos of my brother! He is such a good sport about it and obviously a natural. If you didn't notice we laugh a lot (all the time). Love those photos the best - it's not what was so funny as much as that we both found it funny (if that makes sense? it did in my head at least).

On a side note: today I woke up and it was 46 degrees out! Super exciting that fall is finally here for Florida. I got to wear my brown boots which reminds me I need to invest in a new pair this season. Maybe I'll have an outfit post soon. As always thanks for following along. pumpkin patch

We visited the pumpkin patch on Meridian and came home with a fair share of cute lil pumpkins. All proceeds went to the church! Hope everyone is celebrating Halloween with cute pumpkins, yummy treats, and lots of scary decorations!

home sweet home

Sorry for not posting yesterday! I went home Tuesday evening to see my brother at his Senior Night Football Game (senior aka eighth grader on the middle school team). Unfortunately they lost, but Austin had a great pick, and two awesome tackles. I am so glad I was able to go see him play his last middle school game!

I have other awesome photos for you next week sometime. Everyone will be drooling I promise!

PS: these pictures are blurry because I had my 75-300 lens on with the lowest Fstop at 5.0 and no tripod. Therefore my shutter speed was lower than 1/25 most of the time resulting in blurriness. I strongly suggest a tripod - I'm saving up for a monopod (tripod with only one leg). You see these a lot at college football games. Anywho - that is my tip of the day!

monday funday

Today has been one of the best days I've had in awhile. I did not have to go into work, got to take a two hour nap, and completed absolutely no homework. I laid around and watched tv for the better part of the afternoon and received the best package ever from Camp Blue Wave! Also, my boy brought me flowers.

All in all, a great day by my standards.

Hope everyone had a great if not better day than I.

I am so excited about these next couple of posts! I've had this concept shoot in my head for a couple months now and was so excited for it to pan out! There is an epic graveyard right in the center of Tallahassee, it has tons of history and was so cool to shoot. Plus the gorgeous weather and lighting - it was a dream. Check back in tomorrow for more photos plus (maybe) the color versions of the photos above! Let me know what you think :)

tutorial tuesday: high pass filter

Here is a tutorial on using the high pass filter to sharpen images rather than the unsharp mask. I learned this just last week and wanted to share!

all those who wander are not lost

More fall photos! Can't get enough of this perfect weather :) Lauren and I went on one of our epic adventures tonight and ended up through a detour and found this beautiful park. I wish we had found it a tad bit earlier, the light was so thin in this area. Oh well, next time! This weekend I have lots of pictures planned and next week will blow your mind!

A couple weeks ago, Lauren and I took a quick road trip to Georgia - it probably took us like 30 minutes tops. Anyhow, we ended up on a back road in the middle of nowhere but the cutest little house with this sign captured Lauren's heart. Good thing I was there to take a picture!

CAME{RAW} photoshop Tutorial

Happy October 1st! For us Floridians, it is often one of our favorite months. It's perfect weather - not too hot nor cold (yet)! Todays tutorial is on this lovely photo of a leaf. Granted, Tallahassee does get changing leaves - I didn't find very many. So I settled with a brown one.
